Receive error -214....stock item not found in glossary...when running a POS sale through

If you are receiving the error below (or one similar) when running a POS sale?

This error occurs when you are scanning a bar code into the incorrect field.

The Proper field is the Scan/Enter Stock No. field below:

If you were to hit the sign and then Scan the Item, you are not scanning in the proper field. Close the window and return to the window above and scan into the correct field.
