Instructions to setup Zebra ZD-420
Steps to install Zebra
Step 1: Download Zebra software:
Do not plug in the printer until the driver is installed.
ZDesigner V8 for Windows is required from this link:

Step 2: Install and Configure
- DO NOT plug in the printer via USB until instructed to do so by the Zebra installation.
Double-click on the downloaded Zebra installer
Complete the Zebra installation Wizard.
Next, open the windows control panel and choose Devices and Printers.
Right-click on ZDesigner ZD420-203dpi ZPL, Choose Printing Preferences
Set the Width to 2.252 and hit OK. If you have a custom label size, you may enter the dimensions in this menu.
Use the Zebra control panel to print a test label from Windows to confirm paper type is correctly calibrated.
Step 3: Print a test label from Design Manager
- Open up DM Pro cloud, choose Inventory > Inventory Reports > Stock Item
- Verify the Report Format is the correct dimensions, and your have the ZDesigner ZD420 selected
- Hit OK and you will preview and print your label.
