The Cash Drawer has been pre-programmed to use 1234 as the opening code
Cash Drawer Installation Instructions
The CR3003 cash drawer has been pre-assembled to make the installation as simple as possible.
Step 1: Installation
- Remove the cash drawer from its shipping container
- Remove the keys and interface cable from its plastic bag
- Connect the included RJ11 connector (phone jack) of the interface cable to the cash drawer back panel
- Connect the USB connector of the interface cable to the computer USB port
Step 2: Driver Installation
- Go to http://logiccontrols.com/support/product-drivers/ and select the proper version of the CR3000 Cash Drawer USB driver for your operating system. Once downloaded, double-click the install.bat to install the driver
- After installation, go to Device Manager, to check that the cash drawer has been installed correctly. Look under the "Ports (COM & LPT)" section and take note of the assigned COM port name for the Cash Drawer; ie: COM4. You will see the Cash Drawer listed as “LCI Programmable Cash Drawer with USB Port” followed by the port number
Step 3: Setting up and Testing the Cash Drawer from ProCloud
Log in to Pro Cloud
Go to the Accounting Tab, Accounts Receivable frame and click the Point of Sale button
Click on the Drawer button to test the Cash Drawer
Prompt will appear asking for the COM port
Enter the COM Port that Windows has assigned to the Cash Drawer (Step #2 from the Driver Installation previously)
In the example below, the Cash Drawer is installed on COM5. Using this example you would type COM5 into the Window and select OK
- Prompt will now appear for the Cash Drawer Code. The default Code is set to: 1234. Type the Code into that Window and select Ok. If the Drawer opens, you are ready to begin using the Cash Drawer!
